Valerie is a fully qualified Investment Manager and Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. She began her career as a graduate trainee with Cawood Smithie and Co in 1996. Following Cawood Smithie’s sale to Brown Shipley she continued to manage private client, Trust, Charity and SIPP portfolios from the Harrogate office. Preferring the greater autonomy which a smaller independent firm provides, Valerie joined Williams Investment Management LLP in 2008. Having taken a small career break to focus on her young family, Valerie has returned to the firm as an Investment Manager.
